The Palermo Classica ensemble, with its sonic elegance, gives voice to one of the most beloved cycles of classical music: “The Four Seasons”, a true sonic manifesto of the Baroque and an icon of the European musical imagination. Each season is a journey, each note is a painting, each bar is an emotion that vibrates under the stars. The curtain rises on the natural stage of the Botanical Garden, transformed for one night into a living and vibrant sounding board. Three centuries separate us from the composition of The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi. But his sounds – those violins that scratch the air and chase the light – seem to have been written yesterday. And this year, as in a dance between time and space, we also celebrate the 230th anniversary of the foundation of the Botanical Garden, a place of study, contemplation and today also of sublime listening.
On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and the 230th anniversary of the opening of the Palermo Botanical Garden, Palermo Classica opens its 15th International Festival with an exclusive preview event, a magical evening at the Palermo Botanical Garden, between nature and excellent music.
